Grey sweatpants but make it Chic!!

We all know the hype of “Grey sweatpants season” which is usually associated with men. Ladies I know, yall know the hype. Lol.

I took the modern grey sweatpant and elevated it into a piece that offers comfortability, versatility, warmth and chicness. I love styling because there are no rules and when there are I don’t play by them.

3 C Rule

Grey sweats is a staple needed in your wardrobe. My staple pieces all follow the 3 C Rule, Comfy, Color, and Chic. The goal is to be warm and look like a piece of art at the same time.

How I put together this masterpiece.

My grey sweats was the main piece of the outfit. I knew I wanted to be comfortable and warm for the day. When I’m piecing together my outfit I have to know what I’m wearing on my feet. Shoes are a major asset in your look. I paired the pants with a brown boot because I thought a black boot would make the look too serious. Although the black boot would be a popular choice, you want to elevate the grey sweat pant by pairing with a shoe that is fun and has color. The color stripe on the side of the brown boot, makes the shoe fun and unique. My go to Fall color is green, opposed to popular earth tones such as burgundy, nude, mustard yellow and brown. I mixed three greens for a monochrome aesthetic. My add on accessories is my signature fedora hat And a cute purse. To tie the look together I used a wardrobe staple the infamous trench coat. Trench coats are a must have because it transcends your look to another level. It’s the key detail. It represents power, class, and femininity. You wear the clothes darling, don’t let the clothes wear you.

Why do you need it in your closet?

When you think of fashion and serving a look I’m sure grey sweats doesn’t come to mind. More like a staying home to watch Netflix all day fit. But just think about all those nights at the hookah lounge feeling uncomfortable in your black pleather pants. When you can vibe to the music, and still be cozy in your grey sweats. Dress it up ladies! Grab your flyest boot, throw on your fiercest coat, and take over the city. Perioddd!!!
